Program Note:
This eight-minute work for violin and piano contains three main sections, starting with material that is melodic with a hint of nostalgia or melancholy. A second section is quicker and more rhythmic, containing interesting extended techniques on both the violin and piano. A third section brings back some feelings of nostalgia, with a groove that incorporates some of the motifs heard earlier in the piece.
